![]() So many lessons your parents tried to teach you just never stuck – don’t stay out late, watch your mouth, and wait until marriage to name a few. Luckily one important message got through – it’s always good to share. Kailua girl Shanon Jenkins Schubert took this instruction to heart in her newly re-opened and expanded Kailua Movement Studio – a shared movement space that offers something for everyone (kids too!). Now you can take Shanon’s “Boot-y Camp” dance-cardio-core class in an open, energizing upstairs space (a rarity in Kailua) while gazing out at Kawainui Marsh and the Ko‘olaus.
In the spirit of sharing, Shanon also reserves a section of studio space for her yoga/lifestyle boutique, carrying essentials by Lily Lotus and Prahna, local designs like Pualani bikinis and thongs , Coral & Polyp kids wear, Alexandra Avery skincare, Flash Bags designed by ocean photographer Don King, and unique items like Brazilian fashions, handmade stationery, and biodegradable yoga mats. So after you sweat it out, you can practice a valuable new lesson: Exercise first, then shop. Kailua Movement Studio, 776 Kailua Road, upstairs (across from the new Kalapawai market), Kailua, 808.262.1933. See list of classes here. |
