Here’s one more reason to ditch your green-eyed monster – Steve and Barry’s just-opened Waikele location. Long known for casual men’s clothes, today they’re celebrated for high-quality women’s fashion on the cheap. And we mean cheap. Every item is $9.98 or less (just $1 higher than mainland prices), supposedly for a limited time, but there’s no promotion end date and store prices haven’t been above $20 since 1985.

Steve and Barry’s is also the exclusive retailer of Sarah Jessica Parker’s 1,000-piece clothing line BITTEN, featuring her style and taste infused into jeans, dresses, jackets, lingerie, bags, shoes and more. They’ve also got Amanda Bynes’ 120-piece ‘dear’ collection for younger women, NBA star Stephon Marbury’s athletic gear – including the new Starbury II court shoe – and as of May 15, Laird Hamilton’s original surf and skate line, Wonderwall.

Looks like fashion can be a right, not just a luxury (SJP’s manifesto) – even in Hawai‘i. And with money left over for equally essential things, like groceries.
