Ala Moana Center turns 50 tomorrow, and to celebrate they're throwing a two-and-a-half-week party, and giving away presents galore – for you!

Get The Party Started
Come to Centerstage at 5:30 sharp on Thursday, August 13 (tomorrow!) for the anniversary kickoff with a traditional Hawaiian blessing, Taiko drummers, Chinese lion dances and a performance by the Brothers Cazimero. The event will also honor the Center's 11 remaining original merchants and all the employees celebrating their 50th year working at Ala Moana Center. Plus, in honor of the year the Center opened, there will be a giveaway of 1,959 chocolate bars. Five of them will contain a hidden golden ticket that's worth a $250 Ala Moana Center gift card! While supplies last.

Sale-abration Time

The Key to a Grand Celebration
Spend $200 or more between August 13-31 and take your receipts to the customer service center to get a free, exclusive, commemorative keepsake key ring. Click here for details. Limit one gift per person. Receipts must be dated 8/13/09 - 8/31/09 and redeemed at the customer service center within the same time period. Offer good while supplies last. Must be 13 years of age or older to participate.

Enjoy The Shows
Taking Centerstage from August 13-31 will be 50 performers who have had shows at Ala Moana Center over the last 50 years. Check out local hula halau, community groups, and mainland and international acts. Click here for a full schedule.

Fashion Flashback
Check out all the trends and fashions from decades past at "Fifty Years of Fashion in Hawai‘i," a special exhibit of historic garments from UH Manoa's costume collection. Organized in partnership with the non-profit Hawai‘i Fashion Incubator, the exhibit will feature historic swimwear and aloha attire, current fashions inspired by past eras, archived fashion magazines, and notable Ala Moana Center advertisements. Visit Ala Moana Center's post office August 13-15, August 21 and August 31 to have your mail with paid first class postage cancelled with a special keepsake postal cancellation mark.
